| Welcome to the
Recorder's Office |
| The
Recorder's Office is the most important library in
the county. It is the County Recorder who has the important and indispensable
task of keeping the vital records pertaining to ownership of Real
Estate and to all encumbrances of liens upon it. In Van Wert
County, these records date back to 1835.
Without
the work of the County Recorder in recording, safekeeping and organizing
all documents in a competent and logical manner, it would be nearly
impossible to purchase land and be assured of a clear title and to lend
money with land as security.
|
Effective Jan. 1, 2013, the Van Wert
County Recorder's Office will no longer be accepting
deeds or any other form of real estate conveyance by
mail.
